Odisha unveils energy action plan, pushes AgriPV for climate-resilient rural growth

Bhubaneswar, June 6 (UNI) Odisha has charted a roadmap for scaling up AgriPV (Agrivoltaics) as part of its strategy to promote climate-resilient development, enhance farmers’ incomes, and accelerate the State’s clean energy transition.
Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singh Deo said AgriPV has the potential to significantly improve farmers’ earnings while advancing Odisha’s renewable energy goals, reinforcing the State’s commitment to a climate-resilient and farmer-centric development model under the vision of Viksit Odisha.
Addressing a high-level workshop on “Scaling AgriPV in Odisha for Climate-Resilient Growth” on Friday, attended by policymakers, energy experts, developers, and representatives from the agriculture sector, Singh Deo launched the Odisha State Energy Action Plan (OSEAP) web platform aimed at supporting long-term energy planning in the State.
