Odisha: TPWODL strengthens power network for Sital Sasthi festival in Sambalpur S

Bhubaneswar, June 16 (UNI) Ahead of the grand Sital Sasthi festival in Sambalpur, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has undertaken extensive infrastructure upgrades and safety measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply and safe passage of the festival processions.
With lakhs of devotees expected to participate in one of western Odisha’s most celebrated festivals, the utility has strengthened the power distribution network across key procession routes and congregation points in the city.
As part of the initiative, TPWODL installed 76 joist poles and 65 PSC poles and completed nearly 16 circuit kilometres of Low Tension (LT) Aerial Bunched (AB) cable work in areas including Nandapada, Jharuapada, Phasor Club, Rastaliya, Modipada, Pani Tanki, Pattnaik Pada, Thelkopada and Gol Bazar. The upgrades are aimed at improving line clearances and ensuring the smooth movement of the Sital Sasthi processions.
