Bhubaneswar, Nov 13 (UNI) The Odisha cabinet on Wednesday approved a new scheme called Goal for Management and Treatment of Animals (GOMATA) in ARD sector for the benefit of livestock farmers in the state.
Briefing newsmen after the cabinet meeting, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja said the new scheme will be implemented in the state for three years from the financial year 2024-25 to 2026-27 with a total budgetary outlay of Rs.342.6587 crore.
The scheme, the Chief Secretary said, would benefit the livestock farmers of the state through delivery of veterinary services at Veterinary institutions at farmers' doorstep through treatment , vaccination, disease control and surveillance.
