Odisha Police takes major steps to become more child-friendly: DGP Khurania

Bhubaneswar, Mar 14 (UNI) Odisha’s Director General of Police, Y B Khurania, has reaffirmed the state police’s commitment to creating a more child-friendly system across Odisha.
Speaking at a discussion titled “Juvantika – Digital Rights and Child Safety” on Saturday at the Police Bhavan, organized jointly by Odisha Police and UNICEF, Khurania highlighted key initiatives to protect children in both physical and digital spaces.
He announced that “Friendly Corners,” designated child-friendly spaces, have been upgraded in 71 police stations across the state.

Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha slammed the Congress and opposition parties after the Women’s Reservation Bill failed to pass in the Lok Sabha, saying the party had brought upon itself “another stain after the Emergency.”
Sinha alleged here that by defeating the bill, the Congress had once again betrayed women’s rights. He claimed that a conspiracy was hatched to defeat the Women’s Reservation Bill just by a margin of just 54 votes in the Lok Sabha.
