Odisha: Police officer arrested for possessing huge cash of Rs.37.27 lakhs

Bhubaneswar, Nov 28 (UNI) Boipariguda Police Station Inspector In-Charge (IIC) C Susanta Satpathy was on Tuesday arrested and forwarded to the Court after huge cash to the tune of Rs.37.27 lakh was seized from his possession by the Odisha Vigilance sleuths .
Odisha DGP office sources said, on receipt of reliable information regarding collection of huge cash by Susanta Satpathy as illegal gratification from different sources, a team of Odisha Vigilance kept a close watch over the movement and activities of the IIC
Accordingly, on Monday night, the team of Odisha Vigilance intercepted him near Jeypore, while he was coming from Boipariguda to Cuttack by bus.
