Odisha: Illegal arms supplier nabbed, six semi-automatic pistols seized

Bhubaneswar, Jan 16 (UNI) The Special Crime Unit (SCU) of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police arrested an illegal arms supplier on Friday and recovered six semi-automatic pistols from his possession. Commissioner of Police S. Dev Datta Singh said the arrest was made following a specific intelligence input.
The SCU team apprehended the accused, identified as Manoj Kumar Mallick, a resident of Bodua village in Jajpur district, during an early-morning operation near Kuji Mahal Playground under Chandaka police limits in the state capital.
During the operation, police seized six semi-automatic pistols, live ammunition, six magazines, one mobile phone, and cash from the accused, the Commissioner said.
