Bhubaneswar, Feb 18 (UNI) The Odisha government has taken serious note of the unfortunate incidents that followed the suicide of a Nepali girl student inside the hostel at KIIT University on Sunday evening.
In a press note issued on Tuesday, the state government stated that, in light of the recent tragic incident at KIIT University, it has taken immediate cognizance of the matter. As part of the response, two security guards have been arrested, and two erring officials have been suspended.
The university has been placed under notice, and appropriate legal and administrative actions will follow based on the findings of the High-Level Committee.
