Odisha Govt effects two-fold hike in monthly honorarium for contractual AYUSH doctors

Bhubaneswar, Feb 10 (UNI) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved an increase in the honorarium of contractual AYUSH doctors working under the National Health Mission (NHM) in Odisha.
Recognizing the significant contribution of AYUSH doctors to the State’s healthcare delivery system and to motivate them to provide better services, the Odisha Government on Tuesday announced a two-fold increase in the honorarium of contractual AYUSH doctors working under the National Health Mission (NHM) in the State.
As per the Chief Minister’s decision, the monthly honorarium of contractual AYUSH doctors under NHM has been enhanced by Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 based on their length of service, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement. Doctors with less than five years of service will receive an increase of Rs 20,000 per month, raising their minimum monthly honorarium to Rs 56,948.
