Odisha DGP directs police officers to begin preparations for Puri Car Festival

Bhubaneswar, Feb 15 (UNI) Odisha DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania has directed senior police officers to begin extensive preparations for the world-famous Rath Yatra, scheduled to be held in Puri on June 27.
To ensure the festival is organized in an orderly and systematic manner, the first preparatory meeting was held at the DGP camp office in Bhubaneswar on Friday, chaired by Khurania.
As per the traditions of the Shri Jagannath Temple, various rituals of Shri Jiu will be observed on different dates. During this time, lakhs of devotees from across the country are expected to gather in Puri.
