Odisha Chhatra,Youth  Congress activists demand arrest of Guv's son for assaulting govt official

Bhubaneswar, July 13 (UNI) The Odisha Youth and Chhatra Congress activists on Saturday staged a protest demonstration before the Raj Bhawan over the alleged assault on a government official by the son of Odisha Governor and five others.
The youth and chhatra congress activists demanded action against Odisha Governor Raghubar Das’s son Lalit Kumar and five others for allegedly assaulting Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Baikutha Pradhan on July 7 near the Puri Raj Bhawan.
The congress activists ,carrying placards and shouting slogans, went in a procession from the Bhubaneswar club to Raj Bhawan to lodge their protest when the police prevented them from proceeding further.The agitated congress activists were detained by the police.

Gumla coldest as temperature drops below 10°C in ten districts

Ranchi, Dec 07 (UNI) Jharkhand continues to reel under an intense cold wave as icy winds from North India push temperatures significantly below normal across several districts. While the sky remained clear throughout the day and no rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state, the minimum temperature has been steadily falling during the night and early morning hours, causing severe chills among residents. According to the Meteorological Department, ten districts have recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C.
