OBC leaders Prof Hake, Waghmare suspend hunger strike

Jalna, Jun 22 (UNI) OBC leaders Prof Laxman Hake and Navnath Waghmare, who were on hunger strike for past 10 days at Vadigodri in the district for defending OBC reservation, suspended their agitation on Saturday after the Maharashtra government assured that OBC quota will not be affected.
Today, a delegation of the state government, led by senior OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal along with five state cabinet ministers and prominent OBC leaders, met both Hake and Waghmare at Vadigodri and conveyed them outcome of yesterday's (Friday) meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, in which Deputy Chief Ministers and an OBC delegation were present at the Sayadjri guest house in Mumbai.
Speaking about the meeting, Bhujbal said that in this meeting, there was a discussion on the demands of OBC communities and the ongoing hunger strike.
