Nushrratt Bharuccha speaks out against animal cruelty, supports Manjari Phadnis's passionate plea for justice

Mumbai, June 10 (UNI) Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has raised her voice against cruelty to animals, lending support to "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" fame actress Manjari Phadnis, demanding justice for the alleged killing of a community dog, "Mickey".
Reposting the video on her Instagram story, Bharuccha expressed her grief and anger over the incident and wrote, “This is Unacceptable!! This cannot be the world we live in!! I am heartbroken and enraged!”
In the video, Phadnis explained that residents of her housing society had been searching for Mickey for several days. Posters were put up and security guards were questioned in hopes of finding him. Describing Mickey as a "very sweet dog," she alleged that a resident of the society confessed to brutally attacking him while he was sleeping.
According to Phadnis, the dog was allegedly attacked on the head with an iron rod, dragged, and further tortured, leaving it severely injured. The actress shared an emotional account of the incident, demanding accountability and justice for the community animal.
After Bharuccha shared this video, the issue of animal welfare and violence against stray animals has once again come into the spotlight. Many social media users are also demanding strict action in such cases.
By sharing Phadnis' appeal, Bharuccha has supported the voices that are demanding sensitivity, accountability and better protection towards animals. UNI NST CDS
