Nursing student found hanging in Lucknow

Lucknow, Jan 21 (UNI) A 19-year-old nursing student was found hanging in her rented room under the BKT police station area of Lucknow on Wednesday. The incident took place in the Bargadi ward. The deceased has been identified as Priyanshi Verma, a resident of Lakhimpur, who was pursuing nursing studies at Maa Chandrika Institute.
Priyanshi was living in a rented house along with her elder sister, who works in a private company. At the time of the incident, her sister was away on duty. When she returned, the room was found locked from the inside. Despite repeated calls, there was no response.
On peeping through the window, the sister saw Priyanshi hanging from the ceiling fan. She immediately informed the police. The BKT police reached the spot, broke open the door, brought the body down, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The family members have been informed, and police have started an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

HPV vaccine to shield girls from Cervical Cancer: DC Kangra
