NueGo Partners with Hyderabad Metro for Seamless Intercity Travel

Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) NueGo, India’s leading intercity electric bus service operated by GreenCell Mobility, on Tuesday announced a first-of-its-kind integration with L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL), enabling passengers to use the Hyderabad Metro as part of their intercity journey at no additional cost.
Under this initiative, passengers booking a NueGo intercity ticket can seamlessly access Metro Rail connectivity for both first-mile (to the boarding point) and last-mile (from the drop point to their destination) travel. The service is available across all Metro stations in the city.
Passengers can opt for Metro connectivity while booking their NueGo tickets via the app or website, the company said in a release here..
The Metro ride is directly linked to the NueGo PNR, eliminating the need for separate bookings or payments. Travellers simply need to present their NueGo ticket at the station to collect their Metro pass.
Speaking on the collaboration, Devndra Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of GreenCell Mobility, said the partnership reflects a vision of creating connected and seamless mobility ecosystems. He noted that the integration combines clean-energy intercity travel with efficient urban transit to offer a unified commuter experience.
The initiative enables a fully green, door-to-door journey by linking electric buses with Metro Rail services. It also marks a structural shift in India’s mobility ecosystem, embedding urban transit directly into intercity travel rather than treating it as a separate component.
The integrated service will be available on NueGo routes operating through Hyderabad, covering designated Metro stations across all three corridors. The PNR-linked Metro ticket system will be honoured at participating station counters.
This collaboration also strengthens the environmental case for integrated public transport, allowing passengers to complete an entire intercity journey without relying on fossil-fuel-based vehicles.
