NTT DATA Business Solutions to ramp up Vizag Centre in AP Headcount to 250 in 6–9 Months

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (UNI): NTT DATA Business Solutions is set to significantly scale up operations at its newly launched delivery centre in Visakhapatnam, increasing its workforce from over 100 employees at present to 250 professionals within the next six to nine months.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the company’s flagship event Transformation NOW! 2026 India held in Hyderabad recently, NTT DATA Business Solutions (India) Managing Director Krunal Patel said the Vizag expansion reflects the company’s continued focus on Andhra Pradesh as an emerging technology destination.
The company has rapidly expanded its India footprint, with a total headcount exceeding 4,300 employees across eight delivery centres nationwide, reinforcing India’s strategic role in its global growth plans, he said Hyderabad remains the company’s largest delivery hub with over 2,500 employees, followed by Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune, while Mumbai and Delhi primarily serve as sales offices.
In line with its distributed growth strategy, NTT DATA Business Solutions has also strengthened its presence in tier-2 locations, Patel noted that the company’s Adilabad centre has grown to nearly 100 employees within three years of operations, underlining its commitment to inclusive talent development beyond major metros.
India continues to be a key growth market for the company, with sustained investments in talent, delivery infrastructure and next-generation digital capabilities. The firm specialises in SAP services, including on-premise data centre operations, SAP implementation, managed services and SAP reselling, catering largely to mid-market and lower large enterprises, he added.
Globally, CEO Norbert Rotter said NTT DATA Business Solutions is the world’s largest SAP reseller and among the top SAP partners in India.
At the group level, the NTT Group posts annual revenues of about $100 billion, with NTT DATA’s system integration business contributing nearly $30 billion, positioning it among the world’s leading IT services and digital transformation players, he said.
“India plays a dual role for us—serving domestic clients through our India-for-India business, while also supporting global customers via the India-for-Global delivery model,” Rotter said, adding that nearly 80 per cent of operational costs in India are people-centric, focused on workforce and skill development.
He added that innovation and solution development are increasingly being driven from India, while the group is also investing in data centre infrastructure in the country as part of its long-term growth strategy.
Addressing the impact of artificial intelligence on the IT services sector, Rotter said the company is prioritising upskilling and reskilling through global training programmes.
“Rather than workforce replacement, our focus is on preparing our teams for emerging technologies and AI-driven capabilities,” he added.
