NSDC International aims to train 1 lakh caregivers to boost global healthcare services

Kolkata, May 13 (UNI) The NSDC International has decided to train around 1 lakh caregivers to enhance the capabilities of the global healthcare ecosystem as the demand for these professionals is steadily increasing across the globe, according to NSDC International CEO Alok Kumar.
Until now, the organisation has placed thousands of skilled caregivers across various countries, including Germany, Japan, the UK, and Israel. It has provided specialised soft skill training as well as language skills, including English, German, and Japanese, to enhance employability, resulting in recruitment by hospitals and institutes globally.
Recently, some prominent Japanese and German companies hired NSDC International, a wholly owned subsidiary of NSDC, candidates while offering attractive pay, which demonstrates the quality of training it offers.
“As the world today strives to accomplish the SDG-3- Good Health and Wellbeing, we, at NSDC International, are leaving no stone unturned to facilitate global action towards accomplishing universal health coverage. We have not only designed tailored programmes but also actively explored partnership opportunities with national and global institutions to train candidates with relevant skills to mitigate healthcare challenges. We have successfully deployed thousands of skilled caregivers across the world and are steadily revising our targets, accelerating our actions, and ensuring seamless integration of skilled professionals into the healthcare ecosystem.”
National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) CEO said.
The healthcare segment is a prominent one where many countries are struggling to cater to the burgeoning professionals’ demand, which ultimately affects their delivery. Till now, it has partnered with Canada, the USA, the UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Japan, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to help them meet their demand.
NSDC International has also fostered partnerships with prestigious international organisations like the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust, and leading Japanese and German language providers. It has also started skilling candidates in healthcare skills for Israel, which requires around 5,000 caregivers to boost their healthcare. It has also explored partnerships with prominent health universities and domestic institutions to enhance the healthcare skills of candidates and create opportunities overseas.
NSDC International (NSDCI) is the subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), India’s apex body for skill development. NSDC International is responsible for driving international partnerships, consulting, and workforce mobility solutions by leveraging India’s experience in designing and delivering large-scale skilling programs. It works with governments, industry bodies, and multilateral agencies to co-create human capital development solutions aligned with local economic goals.
