Now UP CM and state BJP President are from same district; BJP gives another surprise

Lucknow, Dec 13 (UNI) Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has a record of giving surprises on selecting its leaders, has once again surpised everyone by naming union Minister of State for Finance and seven-time MP from Maharajganj, Pankaj Chaudhary, as the new Uttar Pradesh BJP President on Saturday.
Now Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the new BJP president hail from the same the district, which is almost rare in any party's history. Both Yogi and Chaudhary are from Gorakhpur. They are also said to be rivals in local politics and have a bitter relationship.
