Chandigarh, May 13 (UNI) The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) officially declared the results for the Class 12 examinations on Wednesday, recording an overall pass percentage of 91.46%.
Out of the 2,65,417 students who appeared for the high-stakes exams, a total of 2,42,755 students successfully cleared the requirements. The results showcased a significant trend of academic excellence among female students, who once again outperformed their male counterparts.
The merit list was notably dominated by girls, who secured the top four ranks in the state. Supneet Kaur from Gurukul Academy Public School in Mansa emerged as the state topper, scoring a perfect 500 out of 500 marks.

Uttarakhand to be declared fully literate state; govt to bear partial insurance cost of mules used on pilgrimage tracks

Dehradun, Jun 18 (UNI) Uttarakhand's Pushkar Singh Dhami government has decided to declare the state fully literate, with the cabinet's formal approval on Thursday. The state government will also bear 20 percent insurance premium cost of around 15,000 equestrian animals used on the Kedarnath and other pilgrimage tracks.
