Srinagar, Feb 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing its second consecutive winter of markedly deficient precipitation, with the Kashmir region recording a 56 percent shortfall and the Jammu Division a 35 percent deficit.
According to Meteorological Department data, the rainfall between January 1 and February 19 remained significantly below normal across both divisions.
According to data, the Kashmir Division received 62.77 mm of precipitation against a normal of 145.26 mm, registering a 56.79 percent deficit. The Jammu Division recorded 111.25 mm against the normal 172.39 mm, reflecting a 35.47 percent shortfall.
