65 IFS officers to learn field management skills at Pilibhit Tiger Reserve

Pilibhit, Sep26 9UNI) The Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR) will host 65 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers next month as part of a specialised training and study tour aimed at providing firsthand exposure to field management, wildlife conservation and human-animal conflict mitigation. According to forest officials, the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) has selected PTR as one of the destinations for a thematic tour of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, recognising the reserve's experience in wildlife conservation, technology-driven monitoring, public awareness and field-level management despite geographical and resource constraints.
