Light snowfall in higher reaches of Kashmir, rains lash valley

Srinagar, Oct 15 (UNI) For the second consecutive day, light snowfall was reported in the higher reaches of Kashmir on Thursday, while rainfall lashed several parts of the plains, bringing a chill to the region. Officials said snowfall was reported at Sinthan Pass, the Mughal Road, higher reaches of Kupwara, Gurez and Tulail in Bandipora, and along the Zojila-Gumri axis. Several higher-altitude areas of Ladakh, including Drass, Zanskar and Sankoo, also received snowfall.
