BJP burns Rahul Gandhi's effigy in Panchkula over JNU sexual harassment allegations

Panchkula, Oct 13 (UNI) BJP workers, led by the party's Mahila Morcha, staged a protest in Panchkula on Tuesday over sexual harassment allegations involving Congress MP and former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, burning an effigy of Rahul Gandhi and demanding the MP's expulsion from the Congress. Led by district BJP president Ajay Mittal, the protesters marched from the party's district headquarters, Panchkamal, to MDC Chowk, raising slogans against the Congress leadership and accusing it of remaining silent on allegations concerning female students.
