Gurugram Police register 36 cases against illegal firecracker sale, apprehend 23 in a day

Gurugram, Nov 6 (UNI) Gurugram Police registered 36 cases under the Explosives Act and apprehended 23 persons in a single day during a crackdown on the illegal sale, storage and distribution of firecrackers ahead of Diwali. The cases were registered on November 5 as part of a special enforcement drive involving 53 teams constituted at police station, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioner of Police levels. Crime Branch teams have also been deployed to conduct checks in their respective areas.
