Varanasi, Oct 14 (UNI) Fifty-seven researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) and IIT BHU have been included in the 2026 list of the world's top 2 per cent of scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. Of these, 33 researchers were ranked based on their career-wide research impact, while 57 researchers were ranked based on their one-year research impact. The list, published in Elsevier's data repository on October 7, 2026, is based on Scopus citation data.
