Himachal's 11-year wait ends as Royal Bengal Tiger pair arrives at Renuka Zoo

Shimla, September 20 (UNI) Ending a 11-year wait, a pair of Royal Bengal Tigers arrived at the Shri Renuka Ji Zoo in Himachal Pradesh from Maharashtra on Sunday, marking a significant addition to the state's wildlife conservation and tourism infrastructure. The tiger pair, comprising a male aged around five years and a female aged about three years, reached the zoo after covering nearly 1,900 km from Gorewada in Maharashtra. The animals were transported under the supervision of a seven-member team led by Deputy Conservator of Forests, Shimla Wildlife Dr Shahnawaz, said the officials.
