Centre starts land acquisition process in Panipat for Delhi-Ambala third, fourth rail lines

Panchkula, Oct 1 (UNI) The central government has started land acquisition in Panipat district, Haryana, for the 198-km Delhi-Panipat-Ambala third and fourth railway line project, as stated in a Ministry of Railways notification. The Northern Railway's Construction Organisation, under Section 20A(1) of the Railways Act, 1989, has announced the government's intent to acquire land for the execution, maintenance, management, and operation of the special railway project. The notification, dated September 29 and published in the Gazette of India on September 30, covers land in 13 villages in Samalkha and Panipat tehsils.
