Punjab transfers Rs 3,722 crore to women under financial assistance scheme, minister says

Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) The Punjab government has transferred nearly Rs 3,722 crore directly into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries under its Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, Social Security Minister Baljit Kaur said on Thursday. She said Rs 2,602.46 crore was disbursed to more than 75.16 lakh women for July, August and September, while another Rs 1,118.93 crore was released to over 32 lakh beneficiaries as the first instalment of the second phase.
