UP Assembly Polls likely to be held after Board Exams in February 2027

By Manoj Bhadra Lucknow, Oct 13 (UNI) Following the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education's announcement that the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will be held from February 5 to 24, 2027, it now appears that the crucial Assembly elections in the state may take place in March-April 2027. The Election Commission of India (ECI) faces the challenge of coordinating elections in Uttar Pradesh with those in four other states including Manipur, Punjab, Goa and Uttarakhand, which are also due for Assembly polls in 2027.
