UP: BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh urges Centre to bring Bharatiya Civil Wrongs & Compensation Code

Lucknow, Sep 19 (UNI) BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh today urged the central government to introduce a comprehensive law of torts, the "Bharatiya Civil Wrongs and Compensation Code," to ensure that every citizen harmed by negligence receives timely and fair compensation. The MLA from Sarojininagar assembly segment has written to Arjun Ram Meghwal, union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Law and Justice here. In the letter, he mentioned that after replacing the colonial era criminal laws with the BNS, BNSS and BSA, India must now reform the civil law governing compensation for victims.
