Bukhari targets NC over unfulfilled poll promises

Srinagar, Sept 27 (UNI) Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the ruling National Conference (NC), accusing it of failing to fulfil its election promises and alleging that the government must be held accountable for any attempt at demographic change in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a public meeting at Natipora in Srinagar's Chanapora constituency, Bukhari questioned Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over alleged land purchases by outsiders, asking who permitted a Mumbai-based businessman to acquire land for a hotel in Syedpora and a Delhi-based company to purchase 150 kanals in Chattergul despite existing domicile provisions.
