Rs 5,230 crore assistance to Himachal farmers through PM-Kisan scheme: Bindal

Shimla, Oct 30 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajiv Bindal on Friday said farmers in the state had received financial assistance of approximately Rs 5,230 crore through 24 instalments of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative. Bindal said around 11 lakh farmers in Himachal Pradesh had received Rs 220 crore under the 24th instalment of the scheme, with Rs 2,000 transferred directly to the bank accounts of each eligible beneficiary.
