J&K notifies CGD policy with single-window clearances, gas connectivity for all 20 districts

Srinagar, Oct 8 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government has notified the Jammu & Kashmir City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy, 2026, providing for the phased expansion of CGD networks across all 20 districts, time-bound single-window clearances and priority gas connectivity to major industrial estates. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday termed the notification of the policy a major step towards expanding access to clean fuel, strengthening industrial competitiveness and modernising the energy infrastructure of Jammu and Kashmir.
