Ruhullah Mehdi to quit NC and Lok Sabha on Nov 3

Srinagar, Oct 30 (UNI) Srinagar Lok Sabha MP Ruhullah Mehdi has announced that he will resign from the National Conference (NC) and surrender his Lok Sabha seat on November 3, accusing the party leadership of betraying the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The three-time NC legislator from Budgam in Central Kashmir has chosen November 3, the 26th death anniversary of his father, Aga Syed Mehdi, who was killed in an IED blast, to make the announcement.
