Mann lays foundation stone of Rs 47.38-crore water treatment plant in Dhuri

Chandigarh, Oct 7 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a Rs 47.38-crore, 14-million-litres-per-day water treatment plant at Bardwal village in Dhuri constituency, saying the canal-water-based project would provide improved drinking water supply to around 85,000 residents while reducing dependence on groundwater. Mann said the project would treat canal water and make it fit for drinking, addressing both present and future water requirements of Dhuri.
