Himachal Pradesh: Over 8,000 MT apples procured under MIS, 17,000 growers register on HPMIS

Shimla, September 24 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government has procured more than 8,000 metric tonnes of apples under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) so far this season, with over 17,000 apple growers registering on the HPMIS portal, aimed at streamlining procurement, ensuring transparency and facilitating direct payment to farmers. The procurement, which commenced on August 1, 2026, through 213 Apple Collection Centres (ACCs) operated by the Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) and HIMFED, will continue until October 31.
