Jagat Singh Negi inaugurates HP SHIVA monorail to ease transportation of farm produce

Shimla, Oct 22 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Thursday inaugurated Himachal Pradesh's first HP SHIVA monorail project at the Palhota-2 HP SHIVA Cluster in Mandi district, aimed at facilitating the transportation of fruits and other agricultural produce from hilly terrain. Constructed at a cost of around Rs. 20 lakh, the one-kilometre-long monorail project is expected to benefit farmers and horticulturists by reducing transportation difficulties, saving time and labour, and improving the movement of agricultural produce from sloping and difficult-to-access areas. The Palhota-2 cluster covers an area of 28.44 hectares and is associated with 85 farmer families.…
