UP Govt launches 'Ek Diya Gau Mata Ke Naam' campaign to promote cow protection

Lucknow, Oct 28 (UNI) This Diwali, the Uttar Pradesh government is taking an initiative to link cow protection with public participation through the 'Ek Diya Gau Mata Ke Naam' campaign. Under this initiative of the UP government, shelters for stray cattle will be illuminated with diyas during Diwali, while cow-based products will also be promoted. The initiative aims to foster greater public sensitivity towards cow protection while creating opportunities to economically empower rural women and farmers.
