Flood crisis deepens in Lucknow as Gomti, Sai rivers swell; 3,500 farmers' crops submerged

Lucknow, Oct 3 (UNI) The flood situation in Lucknow has worsened as the rising waters of the Gomti and Sai rivers inundate several rural and urban areas. In Faizullaganj, families have been forced to leave waterlogged homes and move to safer locations, while crops, including paddy, urad, millet, fodder and vegetable crops, belonging to around 3,500 farmers from Mal, Itaunja, Nigohan, Banthra and surrounding areas, have been submerged in floodwaters. With the Gomti continuing to rise, authorities have also closed the riverfront. Waterlogging has occurred at many places, including pathways. At present, no damage has been reported due to flooding.…
