Bhojpuri epic Lorikayan gets modern stage: UP govt building auditorium in memory of Veer Lorik in Ballia

Ballia, Sep 21 (UNI) The Bhojpuri folk epic Lorikayan, carried across generations through oral storytelling, is set to find a modern cultural stage in Ballia. The Uttar Pradesh Culture Department is building a 350-seat auditorium, in memory of folk hero Veer Lorik, creating a dedicated space to preserve and present his legacy to younger audiences. The auditorium is being constructed at Hasanpura revenue village, Bisouli post, in Bansdih tehsil at a cost of Rs 4.97 crore.
