Uttarakhand Police register FIR against Rekha Arya's husband over assault allegations

Dehradun Oct 16 (UNI) Uttarakhand Police have registered an FIR against Girdhari Lal Sahu, husband of state Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, following a complaint by the minister alleging assault, caste-based abuse, criminal conspiracy and threats to her life. The FIR was registered at Dehradun Cantonment Police Station on Thursday night. Police said the matter was under investigation and efforts were being made to trace the accused. Arya, who holds the Sports and Social Welfare portfolios in the Pushkar Singh Dhami-led government, approached the police after receiving an audio clip purportedly featuring her husband in a conversation with a woman.
