Haryana transport department assistant caught taking Rs 2 lakh bribe

Panchkula, Sep 23 (UNI) The Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) has arrested an assistant posted with the state transport department in Chandigarh for allegedly accepting a Rs 2 lakh bribe from a transporter, a spokesman said here on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Kishori Kumar, was caught red-handed by the Bureau's Bhiwani sub-centre team while allegedly accepting Rs 2 lakh in cash from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses, the spokesman said.
