ASI caught taking Rs 20,000 bribe after threatening to register rape case

Panchkula, Sep 20 (UNI) In its ongoing campaign against corruption, the Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV and ACB) has arrested an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused had allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh, threatening to register a rape case against a young man if the money was not paid, officials said on Friday.
