Army deserter held for duping soldier in loan subsidy fraud; 12 similar cases filed in six states

Panchkula, Sep 17 (UNI) An Army deserter accused of posing as an Army personnel and an AGIF clerk has been arrested on the charges of cheating a soldier posted at Chandimandir Cantonment of Rs 10 lakh on the promise of arranging a hefty subsidy on a loan, a police official said. The accused, identified as Sagar Guleria of Jalandhar, Punjab, was arrested in a case registered at Chandimandir Police Station. Police said 12 similar financial fraud cases have been registered against him in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana.
