Shopian court orders reopening of Siraj-ul-Uloom seminary shut under UAPA

Srinagar, Sept 24 (UNI) In an interim relief, a court in Shopian has ordered the reopening of Darul Uloom Jamia Siraj-ul-Uloom at Hillow, Imam Sahib, allowing the institution to resume educational activities while proceedings concerning its status remain pending. District Judge Shopian Mahmood Ahmad Chowdhury passed the order after hearing an application seeking interim relief against the continued closure of the institution, which was shut following proceedings under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in April this year.
