Himachal's Chail Wildlife Sanctuary records Indian Roller recorded for first time

Shimla, August 23 (UNI)The Indian Roller (Coracias benghalensis), locally known as Neelkanth, has been recorded for the first time in the Chail Wildlife Sanctuary of Himachal Pradesh, marking a significant addition to the documented bird diversity of the sanctuary. The sighting, made during wildlife monitoring, is considered noteworthy as the sanctuary is situated at an elevation of around 2,100 to 2,600 metres.
