Post-session, J&K leaders trade charges over Assembly protests

Srinagar, Sep 21 (UNI) The opening day of the seven-sitting autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed sharp exchanges between ruling National Conference and opposition BJP leaders, with the two sides trading allegations over governance, public issues and the disruption of House proceedings. BJP legislators staged protests inside the Assembly over demands concerning the regularisation of daily-wage workers, the status of National Health Mission (NHM) employees, electricity tariffs, reservation policy and other issues concerning the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
