Allahabad HC imposes fine on petitioner for filing two habeas corpus petitions in same case

Prayagraj, Nov 3 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court took a tough stance on the abuse of the judicial process and concealment of facts from the court. The court imposed a damages penalty of Rs 50,000 on petitioner Omendra Yadav for filing two habeas corpus petitions in the same case while concealing the truth. A Division Bench of Justices Atul Shridhar and Achal Sachdeva dismissed both the habeas corpus petitions on Tuesday.
