Paddy procurement to begin in eastern UP, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Unnao, from Nov 1

Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) Paddy procurement for the Kharif Marketing Year 2026-27 will begin in the divisions of eastern Uttar Pradesh from November 1 and continue until February 28, 2027. The Central Government has increased the MSP for paddy this year. The MSP has been fixed at Rs 2,441 per quintal for common paddy and Rs 2,461 per quintal for Grade A paddy. In view of the prevailing weather conditions, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure that farmers visiting procurement centres face no inconvenience and that all necessary arrangements are completed well in advance.
