Over 519 lakh metric tons of paddy procured from 80 lakh farmers in UP: CM Yogi

Lucknow, Oct 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that between 2017 and March 2026, more than 519 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured from over 80 lakh farmers in the state, with payments totalling Rs 1,03,833 crore made directly to them. He said the minimum support price (MSP) for paddy had also been increased by Rs 71 per quintal this year to ensure remunerative prices for farmers' produce.
