J&K approves land for mobile towers to boost connectivity in remote, border areas

Srinagar, Oct 6 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Government, headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has approved land for mobile tower installations in underserved areas, in a move aimed at boosting high-speed telecom connectivity in remote and border villages across the union Territory, officials said. Under the initiative, land has been approved for installation of BSNL mobile towers in underserved areas of Baramulla district, including Uri and Tangmarg; Kupwara district, including Karnah and Kralpora; Rajouri district, including Kalakote and Qila Darhal; Udhampur district, including Basantgarh and Latti Marothi; Jammu district, including Khour; and Ramban district, including Banihal, Pogal Paristan and…
